P4P BeHere Video Contest
1. TO ENTER: Contest begins June 1, 2008 and ends September 5, 2008. You may enter the "P4P BeHere Video Contest" by uploading your video at our website, www.p4pbehere.com, or by including a YouTube link to your video in the entry form on our website. You may also provide a hard copy (DVD or VHS) by sending it to Pipeline 4 Progress / 114 Pine Street, Suite 201 / Corning, NY 14830. No matter how you submit your video, you must complete the entry form on our website at www.p4pbehere.com.
2. CONDITIONS: Entries will be void if they are incomplete, late, or are not able to be viewed due to technical error. Entrants who do not fully complete the entry form will not be eligible to win. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. All entries become the property of Pipeline 4 Progress (P4P) and will not be returned.
3. CONTEST GUIDELINES: Participants must create a video describing why they enjoy life in the Pipeline 4 Progress region of New York State. Entrants submitting more than one video will only be eligible to win one prize.
4. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: Grand Prize winner who submits the best overall video will receive a Sony HDRSR5 video camera (ARV: $1,000) and will have their video aired on regional television stations (TBD) and recognized as the Grand Prize Winner on our website, www.p4pbehere.com. Television is subject to programming by each station. One (1) Second Prize winner will receive a special gift, TBD, and will have their video aired on regional television stations (TBD) and recognized as the Second Prize Winner online at www.p4pbehere.com. One (1) Third Prize winner will receive a special gift, TBD, and will have their video aired on regional television stations (TBD) and recognized as the Third Prize Winner online at www.p4pbehere.com. All winners will be required to submit the original master copy of video for on-air use. Winners will be determined and announced on or about September 15, 2008.
5. JUDGING: Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: creative concept (25%), technical ability (25%), direction (25%), and sound (25%). In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by an additional judge who will serve as a tiebreaker and who will evaluate entries according to criteria listed above. Video entries must be no longer than two minutes long and must be the original creation of the entrant. The video must not have been previously submitted, distributed, aired or have won any other award in any other competition. All entrants will be required to verify the originality of the video and compliance with contest rules (see entry form). Entry cannot defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party personal or proprietary rights. Any entrant whose work includes likenesses of third parties or contains elements not owned by the entrant (such as, but not limited to depictions of buildings, trademarks, or logos) must be able to provide legal releases for such use including Pipeline 4 Progress' use of such entry, in a form satisfactory to judges. Entry must not be offensive, as determined by judges in their sole discretion. Judging will be conducted under the supervision of Pipeline 4 Progress, whose decisions are final and binding on matters relating to this contest. Judges reserve the right not to award the Grand Prize if it determines that no entry is qualified. Winners will be notified by phone, mail, or email. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners. No transfer or substitution of prizes permitted. Winners agree that Pipeline 4 Progress, their agencies, and their employees shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this project or from the acceptance or use of the prizes awarded.
6. ELIGIBILITY: A minor (for these purposes, a person under 18 years of age) submitting an entry must receive his/her parent/legal guardian's permission to enter this contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Entries received prior to or after Entry Period are void. By accepting the prize, winners consent to the use of their name, video entry, biographical information, photographs and or likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation by Pipeline 4 Progress for editorial purposes concerning this contest or succeeding contests and for publicity, special events and advertising purposes in connection with promoting P4P, its products, its Web site, and/or this contest or succeeding contests. P4P reserves the right to modify video or video titles and publish or advertise the video without approval, acknowledgement, or compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, entrants agree to defend, release and hold harmless Pipeline 4 Progress and their agents from and against any claims, action and/or liability for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this promotion (including in connection with the use and/or exploitation of the submitted video) or from the acceptance or use of prize awarded. P4P reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of the winner. US law governs these contest rules.
7. WINNERS LIST: Winners will be posted at www.p4pbehere.com and www.p4pnetwork.com after September 5, 2008.
